“The more digital our world the more analogue our dreams”

Traditional craftsmanship is now valued and appreciated more than ever and not least as a counterpoint to our digital world of today. Small and medium sized producers are asserting themselves and top labels have recognized the extraordinary value of handmade quality. The issue here is the genuine substance of materials in use. It is all about the sensual qualities of the handmade item. The conscious creative process endows a workpiece with lasting value and evokes a true resonance in perception. Sustainability is quality shared by both sides: the maker and the owner whose concern is long lasting pleasure in the object.
This is a form of consumer behaviour that I find a true pleasure. Antique objects fulfil this requirement to perfection.
