Schatztruhe

treasure chest

The small chest made of walnut was undoubtedly a chest for valuables. Documents and money were kept in it. To open the chest and use the contents, three key owners had to agree. In the meantime, there is only one key left. This is not surprising, considering that the chest dates back to the 18th century. The strong decorative element is the black flame molding. This was used to frame the cranked fillings on the front and back as well as on the side. Even the lid has a framed panel. Flame moldings border the chest. On the side there are strong iron handles for transporting the treasure chest. An original piece of furniture that should stand freely in the room.
