The painted farmhouse armoire from Styria is around 200 years old. The cabinet is simple in design. Accents are set by the vertical and horizontal profiled moldings. The successful proportions and the slanted pilaster strips are responsible for the successful body. The main focus is on the painting – flower bouquets and fruit arrangements are noble and rustic at the same time as the colors and shapes are both magnificent and naive. The motifs are reminiscent of the Biedermeier period. The veneer painting has a pleasant color canon and underlines the liveliness, but does not impose itself. A peasant armoire with charm!
