pedestal chest from the Salzkammergut

The chest is an outstanding pedestal chest from 1735. The front is divided into five fields. Three longitudinal fields with tendril painting and two main fields divided into round arches with flower vases and scale carving. The state of preservation of the painting has charm. The lid is built in a frame construction and shows the monogram of Jesus and Mary in its fields. The curved base bears the notched year. The lock, key and fittings are also original. A chest with an impressive appearance!
