The cabinet in waxed softwood has a balanced distribution of doors and drawers. The division of the cupboard into cornice, body part and base area is well proportioned and emphasized by profiled crossbars, the lateral fluting accentuates the vertical. The framed doors as well as the sides are framed by profiled frames. The cabinet from around 1860 is an extremely successful design, simple, beautiful and very usable.
