The provincial Christ from Styria is around 200 years old. It is plain and simple. It appears indistinct in its entirety … and that is precisely what makes it so appealing. The ochre patina is interesting. The proportions are very successful. It is complete, but not perfect. A beautiful cross above the dining area in its traditional use or full of character and aesthetically pleasing on the white wall.
