This special chest of drawers attracts attention with its elaborate carvings and interesting color scheme. Since the chest of drawers is not too large, its proportions flatter the overall appearance. The carver was a master of his craft. The relief carvings are artfully crafted and charming in their motifs. The Biedermeier fittings are emphasized by carved elements that resemble flower heads, the delicate leaves in between, and the stronger frame with its unusual ends. Decorations are also attached to the pilaster strips. The chest of drawers is difficult to date. I estimate that the body is older than the carving and the frame. I am cautious and say: the furniture began 200 years ago and has been enriched over the course of its life. How beautiful!
