The carpenter who made this painted small cabinet wanted to build a jewelry box. Did he paint it himself or did he consult a painter, we don’t know. In any case, the little cabinet was painted with dedication. The front and sides are filled with a lush bouquet of flowers. The year of origin, 1813, can be read on the door. Above the panel is a small landscape painting. To the left and right of the door is an enchanting motif that looks like gently falling ribbons. The fittings of the small piece of furniture are also remarkable.
