small wedding chest

The solemnity and special nature of the occasion is visible and tangible. The small painted wedding chest comes from a collection in Slovakia. I arrived in the village in snowfall, where I was shown a number of wedding chests stacked on top of each other. It was a great experience for me, with the local people in this completely different world and not so far away. I was able to buy a few small chests. This little chest shines in the strong, muted colors with the hearty motifs. The chest dates from the early 19th century.
