small dresser
The small dresser with its panels, which have a round bulge in the corners, with its three drawers and the finely carved applications that define the character of a pilaster, is a beautifully shaped example of sideboards from around 1860. It is of no small importance that the cornice does not sit directly on the profile strip above the doors, but that there is a gap between them. When the sideboard is opened, the beautiful blue inside is surprising. The waxed softwood is flattering.
