painted wedding furniture
The cheerfulness, lightness and light-heartedness of a wedding is expressed in the painting of the furniture. The wedding took place in 1852 and the bride was presented with the painted almer and the painted chest. The two pieces of furniture clearly belong together. Flowers and cheerful colours were used. Apart from its stud construction, the Almer is characterised by its fittings, lock and key. Both pieces of furniture are not too big and work wonderfully together.
