The painted peasant bench from the beginning of the 19th century is enchanting with its green and the subtle painting on the front. Rectangles and quatrefoils contain delicate, naive floral motifs. The curved wooden elements on the sides give the bench support. The proportions are very well done. The patina is rich. The wooden nails shine through the paint. The lock, key and straps enhance the value of the farmhouse bench. I am always happy when I can buy furniture of this type – they are rather rare.
