The painted and richly carved peasant bed comes from a wealthy family. This bed stood in the manor of a farming family with a large estate. The bed can be dated to the 18th century. The lavish leaf carving on the footboard and the high-quality carving on the headboard with its tendrils and medallion, as well as the turned attachments on the legs, are gilded. The painting in the fillings is elegant. Although the decorative elements are used densely, the farmhouse bed does not appear overloaded, but impresses with its quality. The nice thing is that the bed is big enough for our current needs.
