This provincial sideboard made of softwood dates back to the mid-19th century. The division into drawers and doors is not only practical but also visually appealing. The frame doors have fillings with profiled strips. I would describe the fittings and feet as “bold,” giving the sideboard that certain something. The proportions of the sideboard and its patina further enhance this beautiful piece of functional furniture. What is special is that the sideboard can also stand freely in the room, because not only the sides were made in a frame construction, but even the back wall was designed with elaborate fillings.
